The Question Changed
Words and music by Jenn Lindsay

I walk in this city
I thought this city would be my friend
It hasn't failed me yet
But I failed it again and again
I was told that there wasn't enough money
I was told I was growing up way too fast
I guess I never thought about that
I was just hoping to last

What was I supposed to do my friends?
What was I supposed to say?
Every morning I found the only answer
And then I found the question changed.

I stayed in this city even though I knew I would leave
I had a sense that anything could happen
I had the sense that I had the biggest dream
Three days was this city to me: one day I saw her, I was just 13
One days moved with my boxes and my dreams
One day knew it was time to leave
What was I supposed to do my friends?
What was I supposed to say?
Every morning I found the only answer
And then I found the question changed.
